As part of the GDPR effective date: 25th May 2018 Purple Cloud Solutions have updated our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Terms of Business

  • People who use our services, e.g. who subscribe to our newsletter or client’s that place an order for one of our products/services.

What data do we collect

  • Via our website contact forms we collect your name, email address and phone number along with any message or question you give us.
  • Via our websites free website health check form we collect your email address and website URL.
  • Via our invoicing system we may collect this information along with your business address information and any other information deemed necessary to process an order.

While using our service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information (“Personal Data”) may include, but is not limited to:

We use MailChimp as our Email Marketing software which is an email address management and message sending service provided by The Rocket Science Group, LLC. Security of Data Processing
Our website is HTTPS using industry standard encryption where we collect information. We use a signed 2048-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Certificate. It means all communications between your web browser and our website are encrypted.

Security of Data in our Systems

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure with us. We use many tools to make sure that your information remains confidential and accurate and we may monitor or record calls, emails, text messages or other communications in order to protect you and us.

How we protect your data

  • All computer systems used by the business are protected by a security firewall and virus-checking program
  • All computer systems that require a secure login are locked each time staff step away from the machine
  • Operating systems are updated with updates as and when they become available, this includes latest patches or security updates
  • Staff access to information is limited to only the information they need to do their job
  • Staff are trained in how to protect data and not give out information to non-authorised persons regarding personal data or otherwise
  • We use the latest technology in cloud computing to operate and run our business
  • Passwords across all systems are all deemed to be ‘strong’ under password strength requirements where a wide range of characters, such as: uppercase letters; lowercase letters; numbers; punctuation marks; and other symbols are used.
  • Encryption is always used where available to process data across the Internet

Disclosure for Law Enforcement
Under certain circumstances, Purple Cloud Solutions may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

Visitors to our website

When someone visits https://www.purplecloudsolutions.co.uk we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website (https://www.purplecloudsolutions.co.uk). We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. People who email us directly
We use Transport Layer Security (TLS) via Google Business Services to encrypt and protect email traffic in line with regulations. If your email service does not support TLS, you should be aware that any emails we send or receive may not be protected in transit.

We will also monitor any emails sent to us, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send is within the bounds of the law.

Google Analytics
We use Google analytics data to learn from the past so that we can make future improvements to our marketing efforts and our customer’s online experience. It is used to track anonymous visitor data on our site, we also use Google Analytics as the main analytical tool on our client websites. Server Hosting
We apply software updates to our web servers and any underlying operating systems to keep them up to date.

CMS Security
Updates to CMS are applied after successful testing along with any required plugin or theme updates to ensure they are always kept up to date and running with the latest patches or software. As a data processor we take all measures required under Article 32 to ensure data entrusted to us is kept safe, secure and used for only for the agreed intended purpose. Use of reCAPTCHA security on contact forms

Purple Cloud solutions use Google’s Invisible reCAPTCHA to stop spam coming through the contact forms on the website. Use of this security makes you subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

This privacy notice does not cover the links within this site linking to other websites. We encourage you to read the privacy statements on the other websites you visit.

How long we keep your information

We don’t keep your information for longer than we need to unless we are required to keep it longer (for example due to a court order or investigation by law enforcement agencies or regulators). When Purple Cloud Solutions no longer has a legitimate business need to process your personal information, or no longer has a need to keep your personal information for any legal, tax, or regulatory reason, we will either delete or anonymize it.
